Reagan's Budget Director: Republicans Should be Ashamed of Themselves

Sticking with the Jon Stewart sanity theme, David Stockman, Reagan's former budget director, is the sanest voice in the tax debate that I've heard yet. Republicans have made cutting taxes a religion, he said. He said republicans say they want to cut the deficit but they don't want to cut anything.
Stockman also says democrats are wrong. We have to tax everyone to pay our bills--even the middle class. He recommends a one-time tax hike on the wealthy to cut the national debt in half.
Get this: The top 5% of wealthy have a net worth of 40 trillion, Stockman said. In 1985, the top 5% had a net worth of $8 trillion.
HELLLLLLLLLLO. Wake up call.
We've had a 30 year spree of phony prosperity, he said. Amen.
Bill Gates' father Bill Gates Sr. also advocates for rich people paying more. He says the poor pay too much and the rich pay too little. Amen again.
Stockman concludes Congress will do nothing.
If the pollsters are correct, our Congress will be stocked with even more republicans who believe only in tax cuts.
