Target Boycotted for Supporting Michele Bachmann and Others of her Ilk

I know corporations try to sway politicians with their fortunes all the time, but it's especially disappointing because I used to like Target. Now Target's throwing its money at the likes of Michele Bachmann (she's the worst of the worst) and conservative politicians in hopes of getting what it wants -- what Target perceives as a better business climate:
Target, which is based in Minnesota, has defended its donations to the group, called MN Forward, by stating that they were tied to Emmer's positions when it comes to creating a positive environment for businesses, not his stance on social issues. CBS
It's not going to be a positive environment for business when people aren't shopping at your store. I think corporations are just kicking and screaming right now because they don't rule the roost like they used to. Target should've donated the money to a charitable cause.
