Obama's Got a Strong Base of Support

I was surprised to hear Chuck Todd say that Obama has a strong base of constant support--between 48-53%, despite what the Gallup daily poll says. Indeed he does. But the way you'd hear the media tell it, Obama's presidency is going down in flames. The republicans are doing their best to act like we didn't even have an election.
