Obama to Speak on Increasing Jobs Dec. 8

Update: Obama will speak at the Brookings Institution at 11:15 am eastern. The speech is likely to be live streamed at msnbc.com or WhiteHouse.gov. Obama is weighing using leftover TARP funds to boost hiring:
The administration is considering several new steps to boost hiring, including using money from the Troubled Asset Relief Program, incentives for homeowners and businesses to make buildings more energy efficient and more spending on roads, bridges and other infrastructure projects. Obama plans to outline proposals next week in a speech from Washington. Bloomerg
