Obama Has 200 Over For Din Din



In Obama's continual quest to stay tuned in, Wednesday nights at the White House have become dinner party night. About 200 people came, including the McCains. Dessert was chocolate velvet cake. Read about the actual dinner menu here
Swamp: "This is a pretty big house, so we get lonely,'' President Barack Obama told his dinner guests at the White House last night - congressional committee chairmen and ranking members from the other party called to dine at the opening of a new budget season and debate over health care reform that will prove to be a little more contentious than the evening in the East Room.

Also, a little more than one month into office, the dinner host allowed: "It's hard for me to move around out there sometimes, so I've got to bring the world to me...

"Do not fear, no long speeches here,'' Obama told his congressional guests. "We just want to say welcome.''
