NYT: President Obama will hold his first formal White House press conference on Monday, his spokesman announced, in a prime-time appearance that is designed to help explain his economic recovery plan to the nation.
Mr. Obama also will address a joint session of Congress on Feb. 24, aides said Thursday, which will essentially take on the flavor of a State of the Union address. The speech comes after he presents his budget to Congress for the next fiscal year.

Obama needs to explain OVERSIGHT. That's my big beef with the stimulus. I don't mind them spending a bunch of money to create jobs, but if Las Vegas is going to spend it on neon, then the stimulus could be a disaster. Obama will be on at 8 p.m. eastern.
