Obama’s strength will be in the city of Philadelphia and it’s northern counties, whose geography is about 55 percent of the Democratic primary vote. Also, he should win neighborhoods in Allegheny County.
Clinton will do well in the southern river wards in Philadelphia and all points due west. All of the down-ticket, blue-collar and women voters are rock-solid Clinton supporters.
Obama has the support of Rep. Chaka Fattah, who, when he has money coupled with organization, can deliver Philly for a candidate. He also has congressional newbie Patrick Murphy, who is popular in the Philly collar counties. He also has the support of Carol Campbell, a former Philly city council woman.
Clinton has the big guns -- mainly Gov. Ed Rendell, state party chairman T.J. Rooney and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter.
No one of note from Pittsburgh has endorsed Clinton yet.
